Why quiet is the default
Most financial software wants your attention. Price tickers pulse, news feeds refresh, push notifications fire on every headline. The business model needs you looking.
A long-term investor’s edge works the other way. If you hold a company for three years, almost nothing that happens on a given Tuesday matters — and everything that does matter arrives on a filing timestamp: a 10-Q that shows the margin story breaking, an 8-K that rewrites guidance, a cluster of Form 4s from people who know the business better than anyone outside it.
So Theserio inverts the default. No feed. No streaming prices. One digest each morning, which is usually short and often empty — and an interrupt only when the public record contradicts something you said you believe. The target is at most one interrupt per position per week outside earnings season, and we treat every dismissed alert as a defect to learn from.
Quiet is not a limitation. It is the point.
